TNS teacher since 2017

Brad Lopes joins The New School Faculty with his Secondary Education degree in Social Studies with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington.  He is originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts, and is a member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe, located on Martha’s Vineyard.  He grew up in Skowhegan, Maine, and has the snow-shoveling experience of every “True Mainer.” His areas of interest expertise include: the Revolutionary Atlantic Period, the World Wars, and the Slave Trade. Brad is excited to have found his “dream school,” one “that is democratically based, with students making crucial, important decisions about their own education,” and is happy to call The New School “HOME.”
