During their final year at TNS students participate in weekly Senior Seminars with their Advisors to prepare them for graduation requirements, develop their portfolios, apply and schedule visits to colleges, or explore and transition to careers.
Their transcripts, accomplishments and detailed portfolios position them quite competitively for admission to college — almost all TNS graduates have been accepted by the college of their first choice. Retired Assistant to the Dean of Admissions at Harvard University states, “Portfolios are the ultimate, inspired, trustworthy approach for applying to colleges – that is how colleges get to see you.”
Our students have been accepted at over fifty colleges including Wheaton, Sarah Lawrence, Mt. Holyoke, Hampshire, Wheelock, Goddard, Marlboro, Colby Sawyer, Bennington, Green Mountain, College of the Atlantic, Unity, Evergreen State, Mass. College of Art, Pratt Institute, Berklee College of Music, Maine Maritime Academy, Lyndon State, Hawaii Pacific University, Marlboro, Evergreen State, Keene State, ME College of Art, Montserrat College of Art, NE School of Communication, Southern Maine Community College, University of Glasgow, University of Southern Maine and University of New Hampshire.
