Current Hours

Off-Season Hours (October through April)

• 10 am – 3 pm, Seven days a week!

Spring/Summer Hours (May through September):

• 9 am – 6 pm, Thursdays
• 9 am – 4 pm, All other days

DONATIONS

Donations of artwork, lamps and small furniture are accepted daily. It is strongly recommended that you call (207) 604-5050 to schedule an appointment for drop-off on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday for all other donations.

All items must be in a good, clean, and resalable condition. All donations are tax deductible.

Acceptable Donations include: 

• Kitchenware
• Dishes
• Glassware
• Jewelry
• Art
• Shoes and accessories
• Small pieces of furniture
• Books and gift-like items like candles, home decorations, etc.
• Gently used and clean men’s, women’s and children’s clothing

Drop off location: Drop offs should be made at the rear entrance of the store.

For donations of any value, we will provide you with a charitable donation slip that you can use for your tax returns.

ABOUT OUTTA THE BOX:

The New School provides an incubator for environmental awareness and involvement among students. Combining our commitment to sustainability with the need to fundraise, led to the founding of our “Outta the Box” Thrift Store — an inexpensive place to shop for trendy, offbeat, and chic clothing and household wares. We are conveniently located at 8 York Street, Kennebunk (Route 1) just down the road from The New School.
