The New School provides an incubator for environmental awareness and involvement among students. Combining our commitment to sustainability with the need to fundraise, led to the founding of our “Outta the Box” Recycle Boutique – an inexpensive place to shop for trendy, offbeat & chic clothing and household wares. We are located just down the road from The New School (8 York St./Route 1, beside Toppings.)

We welcome donations! We ask that donated clothing and items be in good, resalable condition. All donations are tax deductible, and whatever we don’t sell is passed on to Seeds of Hope, Kennebunk Library, Kennebunk Cares Closet and Animal Welfare Society.
We are always happy to accept your donations of the following:
- Gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing (as of August 1, 2020)
- Shoes and accessories
- Jewelry, toys, games
- Books and gift-like items like candles, home decorations, etc.
For donations of any value, we will provide you with a charitable donation slip that you can use for your tax returns.
The New School is grateful for the community support Outta The Box continues to receive. Through donations, patronage and volunteer efforts your goodwill supports the mission and the programs of our school. Come visit our community treasure at 8 York St.
