Intermediate (and Beyond!) Crochet Class — Blocking
The New School 38 York Street, Kennebunk, ME, United StatesLearn how to choose and read patterns, acquire materials, assemble pieces, and finish projects with step-by-step instructions and support along the way! This course will be taught in the style of the working bees from our history. The instructor will demonstrate a skill, then attendees will be given “workshop” time to practice their new skills. Over the course of six weeks, we will have the opportunity to fine-tune our skills and build a friendship afghan using more advanced patterns. Robotics Demo at Kennebunk HarvestFest
Waterhouse Center 51 York Street, Kennebunk, ME, United StatesThe New School's robotics team, The Rainbow Junkyard, will be at HarvestFest on Saturday, October 9th, from 9 am until 2 pm. Come see Buster, last year's champion robot, in action. This industrial-sized robot was built, programmed, and run by students from The New School, homeschooled students, and students from nearby high school districts. Our robotics coach and team members will be on hand to show you how fun the FIRST Robotics competition is.
Bowls of Hope
The New School 38 York Street, Kennebunk, ME, United StatesJoin us for Bowls of Hope: a fundraising event on Saturday, November 2, 4:30-7 PM, at The New School, 38 York St, Kennebunk. Bowls of Hope is a warm, cozy night of wonderful soups and bread from local restaurants. Sample the soups, then fill a handmade bowl with your favorite soup and grab some bread for dipping. Bowls are handmade by The New School’s students and local artisans, and are yours to keep after the event! There will also be a raffle and silent auction items.
