LEAP NIGHT OPEN HOUSE AND STUDENT EXHIBITS
January 14, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Members of the school and greater community are invited to the upcoming LEAP Night (Learning, Exhibitions and Performance), the school’s version of final exams. During LEAP Night each student exhibits their work from the semester and spends an hour discussing it with a “Feedback Team” — two adults, who may be current or previous parents, alumni, or other community members. The evening ends with group presentations on a stage in the Wentworth Discovery Room — readings, skits, science experiments, musical performances, etc., that showcase students’ learning experiences. LEAP Nights help students gain the ability to reflect on and articulate their strengths and weaknesses, hone their presentation skills, and gain the confidence to express themselves to others.
The next LEAP Night will take place on Tuesday, January 14, from 6-8PM. The public is invited to browse student works from 6-7, and then join together in the Discovery Room for presentations by the different classes.
Serving on a Feedback Team is a fun and rewarding experience, and many of our volunteers return year after year. If you are interested in serving on a Feedback Team, please let us know!
