Our Yankee Swap (that's "White Elephant" for non-New Englanders) was so much fun! Vivian was stolen from multiple times! Nico was reunited with a toy from their childhood! Rex was flanked by two Phoenixes! Phoenix surprisingly didn't steal a thing with a dinosaur on it! Callum gets a sweater!

Okay, school's out until January 6th. Go home. Have fun.

Last week, The New School welcomed Alexandra Magna

Last week, The New School welcomed Alexandra Magnaud from the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine. Alex spoke to our Civics class about the Civil Rights Movement in a talk titled “Civil Rights in America: Yesterday and Today.”

We were all surprised to learn that Maine once had the highest per capita membership in the KKK during the 1920s!

The HHRC offers some amazing programs and most of them are free. Check out their website at https://www.hhrcmaine.org to learn more about this amazing resource in our state.
