In their progress through our school, students und In their progress through our school, students undertake gateways — an individual presentation to a group of peers and faculty to showcase their understanding of a major component of their education. Some of the subjects tackled include public policy, applied mathematics, and an argumentative essay. During LEAP Night, students who have cleared the gateway receive keys, which are hung on a board decorated with a tree. Sela, a junior at The New School, is redoing the tree board. Her vision of the tree is an interpretation of TNS' "Roots and Wings" logo and will be displayed in a more prominent place of the school, now in the room where the key presentation of LEAP Night takes place. #TheNewSchoolMaine #LEAPNight #gateways #art #rootsandwings
