The New School is excited to announce its first-ever Pride Pizza Party, a community event celebrating inclusivity and community spirit. The event will take place on Saturday, June 29, from Noon to 3:00 PM at The New School, located at 38 York Street in Kennebunk. We invite attendees to park at our neighbor, A Joyful Noise, at 34 York Street.
The Pride Pizza Party promises an afternoon filled with delicious food, fun activities, and live entertainment for all ages. Highlights of the event include:
- Wood-Fired Pizza: Savor the flavors of freshly made pizza, cooked in our wood-fired pizza oven.
- Lemonade Stand: Refresh yourself with cool, tangy lemonade, perfect for a summer day.
- Sweet Treats: Indulge in a variety of delectable desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.
- Music: Enjoy the festive atmosphere and even dance with friends.
- Board Games for Teens: Teens can gather and engage in a variety of board games, fostering fun and camaraderie.
This event is open to the entire community, and we encourage everyone to join us for an afternoon of celebration and connection. A clothing drive is being organized during the event to collect gently used clothing that will be donated to area nonprofits. The Pride Pizza Party is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy good food while showing support for the LGBTQ+ community.
“The New School is a place where students find their voice and everyone is welcome,” said MaryBeth Luce, Business Director. “We are excited to host the Pride Pizza Party and bring the community together to foster a sense of belonging and joy within our community.”
Admission to the event is free, with food and beverages available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting The New School’s experiential education programs and initiatives.
