Pride Pizza Party

The New School is excited to announce its first-ever Pride Pizza Party, a community event celebrating inclusivity and community spirit. The event will take place on Saturday, June 29, from Noon to 3:00 PM at The New School, located at 38 York Street in Kennebunk. We invite attendees to park at our neighbor, A Joyful Noise, at 34 York Street. Pride in the Bunks

This coming Saturday, June 8th, The New School will be at Pride in the Bunks, the annual Kennebunkport Pride gathering in its third year. Pride in the Bunks, a completely free and welcoming event, will be based just off of Dock Square at the South Church River Green (just on the inland side of the public parking lot). Murder Mystery Dinner @TNS

Join us at The New School on Saturday, October 21, at 6 PM for a night of mullets, murder, and mayhem — our Murder Mystery dinner theater will allow you to step back in time to experience Homecoming Homicide. Play the role of a student or faculty member at Homecoming 1985.  Before the main course, someone will die and everyone will be a suspect.  Work together with your fellow diners to solve the murder and enjoy a locally sourced five-course meal planned and prepared by members of The New School Community. AZORES INTENSIVE 2019

Early in the 2018-19 school year, students expressed interest in a journey to the Azores, an isolated Portuguese island group in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Students and teachers spent much of the first semester planning the trip and learning about the Azores. During the early part of the second semester, the group worked on finalizing the trip plans. INDIGENOUS PEOPLES INTENSIVE 2019

For our regional intensive this year, students collaborated with the teachers to design an in-depth study of Indigenous People in New England. Our study focused primarily on the 5 Wabanaki tribes in Maine and the Wampanoag of Massachusetts. We visited the Penobscot and Wampanoag nations to spend time with the tribes to understand their experiences from their perspectives.
